{Queens Part 1}

I am extremely behind on posts so I really need to snap to it and get cracking. I am going to skip January -March and start right up with 3 weeks ago. I know I never do this but oh well I am now. Hopefully soon I will be able to go back and blog those exciting post starting with my sister-in-law Kristen coming to visit us, continuing with our wonderful winter week long break with much fun with friends.  So many posts I need to make up. .

We went to Flushing and had so much fun! So much that I am going to make 3 posts about it so here is the first. Here we are playing at the beautiful park next to Queens Zoo. I love this zoo. It's that perfect zoo where you can relax with no stress, no crowds, easy drive, but yet so much adventure while you are there. Jon had two weeks off and we were going to make the best of out it since we never see our man any more. Since January he had been working 90 hours a week. I wish I could say I am so tough and I don't complain, but I do at times. Being a single mom of four can be stressful of me at times, but I know it's making me a better and stronger person and hopefully my complaining is getting less and less. Let's just say I couldn't do any of this without the help of my Heavenly Father. I have come to know first hand that I am nothing without Him. I need it love and relationship constantly throughout the day. I am grateful for friends, family and my sweet husband who help me lighten my burden. You wonder why I say Jon since he is never around, well I will tell you. Example Jon has worked a very busy schedule M-F and yes Saturday and today as well. That means he got no day off and wont until next Sunday. He didn't get a wink of sleep last night cause he was on call. Returned home at 2:00. He told me to take a nap (since I stayed up till only 1:30am preparing my Gospel Doctrine lesson). When I should have been letting him sleep but he wanted to play with the kids since he missed soccer games and all kinds of things this week with them. when I woke up everything was clean and put away with happy kids on his lap. After prayers and scripture reading. I told him to go to bed. He said we forgot to return the Redbox from the night before. I told him I would do it after I put Mason done. He slipped out even covering his hand over the alarm so I couldn't hear him walk out he door while he returned the movie in the pouring rain. This is just one day of what he does for us. I need to write more down in my journal because I always want to look back and remember and let my kids remember how much of a devoted father and husband Jon is. Moments like these make is much easier for me not to complain, because I think he has more to complain about but doesn't. He only hears my complaints. So I need to be more like him.

Addison was the only one up for photos so that is why I have so many of her. Below is Jon playing with the girls.

Here we are inside the Zoo!

Emberlynns favorite animal . . the Lion, well that's what she called this. We couldn't break her heart and tell her it's a Puma. Well come to think of it we did and he said, "No...it's a Lion"

Mason had fun at the Petting Zoo.

Walking on top of the over pass was fun for my girls.

Here are some pictures of the world Fair things. I don't know what they are LOL. We walked up to them to see if they had something about them but nothing. Anyway they keep them for keepsakes I guess. I like them and a fun memory. It's ones of these things that makes Queens... Queens!
