{Fire Island's Lighthouse}

WOW . .  . this place was beautiful. I feel so lucky cause I have seen so many new and beautiful things since we have taken our journey eastward to Long Island.

The crazy thing is  . . . is we haven't even made a dent into seeing what Long Island has to offer. It's so BIG.

But I am glad we stopped here. I feel like we have been having so many of those awe moments where you look out and just know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ loves us cause it's written EVERYWHERE! Not just in Long Island, Colorado, Utah & Yes even Nevada, however I feel like even though life has brought us a new journey and it's not always easy at least He reminds me I'm not alone by giving me a beautiful place to live.

As you drive to Fire Island it's best to always head towards Jones Beach (15 minutes away from my house) on the Meadowbrook PKWY and work your way over to Fire Island (another 40 minutes). It makes for a beautiful scenic drive. But if you do go across the Robert Moses Causeway (There's two parts of that bridge) there is a long long long stretch (4 miles) of bridge that you ride on that practically start to think if it's going anywhere and if so do I want to be over there. AFter awhile I said to JOn " I think I'm feeling sick" It kind of creeps you out after awhile.

This bridge below is on the other side connecting Jones Beach to Fire Island. It's a beautiful BRIDGE and big but just not as long and big as the first.

Walking on the beautiful scenic Boardwalk
This trip we will do again for sure. When I first saw the big plank boards that you walk the entire hike on I immediately got excited. The first time we came here we went to he beach and I was afraid the kids would get too hot to walk all the way tot he Lighthouse in the hot sun and I didn't think I had enough water either. So we skipped it but made sure we came back. I'm so glad we did like I said we will do it again.

LIke I am telling you I told JOn a million times this is so pretty, this is so pretty. I think the Lighthouse was a wonderful reward at the end of our walk, however our walk was just as good and seeing the lighthouse in our forefront was even greater.

Taking many breaks alone the way . . .

A few facts about the Lighthouse. . .

As we approached the Lighthouse we saw this. . .

 . . . and this . . .

 . . . and inside the Lighthouse we saw this . . .

MB & Addi are not tall enough to go up to the top we were going to send Jon and Alix up but it closed right before, oh well I'm sure when my sister comes out in April we will go again and this time Addi will be tall enough if not I'll make sure she has heels on that day :  )

After visiting the Lighthouse we started our walk back but went a different route and forked off to north of the island and saw this . . .

Looking back at the Lighthouse I saw this . . .

  . . . and found this . . .

On our walk to the Lighthouse I stopped and took this picture. I told the girls to look out for them. We didn't see any; HOWEVER, on the way back we saw MANY. I kept telling Jon they must be stranded on this little Island cause where else are they going to go. I guess over the bridge : )

Alix actually saw the first one is was dusk as you can see on our last few pictures above and she stopped and looked up and the antlers where seriously a foot from her face. They both freaked out and ran. I only had my iphone on me so I couldn't zoom in so here's what I got . . .

{BLUE is our NEW FAVORITE COLOR}

You heard that right!!!!!

WE'RE HAVING A
BOY!!!!

Due Date April 16th

I feel like I need to apologize for not announcing I was pregnant on my blog earlier. The lame reason why is I get so behind on post and lame me like to post everything in order and then it seemed like it never happened and then I never got around to it.  By all means I wasn't keeping this a secret. I am really bad when it comes to secrets that's the reason why my family tells me NOTHING! : )

We were so excited to find out it was a BOY { I totally started to right girl by habit : ) } Days before I bought a rotisserie chicken and found a wish bone. I made a wish and gave one end to Jon and pulled and what do you know . . .  My wish came true! I think that was the only time I was wishing for a boy. Even though I thought yeah this maybe a boy this time, I hit myself and though REALLY WHAT ARE THE CHANCES! So basically if you asked me what I wanted I always said, "Whatever pops out." My frugal side thought, "BOY (pun intended)  .. . I really like getting use out of my girl stuff and I don't have to buy anything." But my heart would think how much I would love to see my husband raise a RUGBY BOY {however I'm not sure I approve of that sport. It's so dangerous, maybe football where they have helmets and pads : ). listen to me .. I can be such a protective mother and who knows maybe my boy with be just that spoiled rotten. Only the future will tell.

Weeks before the Ultrasound I looked up the Chinese Calendar and it predicted I was going to have a BOY. I said, "What do the Chinese know. " I then looked up all three of my girls and what do you know . . . The Chinese KNOW AND WERE RIGHT.

During the UltraSound the lady asked me if I wanted to know the sex of my baby. I sad, "Yes" then she continued asking me what I already have, "I replied 3 girls" she then exclaimed "Well then LET'S HOPE FOR A BOY." After having to wait for a long period she said in a strong middle-eastern accent "well I think you are going to be happy!"I didn't really understand and didn't want to get my hopes up until she finally said "It's a boy" instead she said "It's the PENIS! lol" You know normally after your ultrasound they give you these wonderful pictures of the foot, hands, side profile no instead I GOT 6 PICTURES AND FOUR OF THEM WERE OF THE PENIS! I think she was more excited then me.

When did we start planning this pregnancy and did we try to conceive a BOY? Before we left Vegas I was praying about a particular decision and the answer came back to me, "forget about it and think about  having another baby" I was stubborn cause I felt like I was under a lot of stress with the move and because I knew I get sick didn't' want to deal with that during the move and the moment we got there. I stubbornly waited 3 months and finally went to the Lord and said, "I'll give you one chance." (I really didn't want to get pregnant right then I wanted to wait till December} and well He took it and blessed me  with a healthy little boy. and the answer is No we didn't try anything different, in fact I just looked up when I was ovulating besides Jon thinks it's a bit Mythical. Me on the other hand I like to believe the Lord knows best what we need and when we need it. I can't imagine my life without my three girls. I will be having to practice not saying "Let's go girls" I guess I will be saying "Let's go girls . . . and oh little guy" When he's older I maybe getting some looks from him. Until then he will have to be patient with me.

About my pregnancy . . .As most of you may know I get really sick with all my pregnancies. My sister Danell only got sick with her  girl so I was HOPING THAT WOULD BE TRUE WITH ME!

The moment I conceived I felt so sick and wanted to vomit. I immediately took it as sickness not as a sign I was pregnant and there it began at the beginning and do you remember I DON'T HAVE A DISHWASHER and smells get to me and anything that may look a little grouse.  Let's say were not saving any rain forests right now and fact were killing everything off and we might be getting fined for it : )

The first time I felt him kick was when I was making chili for our Halloween Party October 30th. I was so excited cause it's more of a reality that I'm having a baby and all my sickness is worth it. Not only was I sick the moment I conceived but I was sick 24 hours which is really unusual for me. Normally I would get sick starting at 3 or 4 pm. But felt energy and good in the morning. For most people after they puke they feel better. In my case not so much. I feel the opposite so I try not too but I just can never keep it done.

The grouse thing is I start to hate to puke in the toilet, so I would rather puke in a lined trash can, outside,   in a random bush, on the street hanging outside my car, anywhere other then the toilet.  I have even puked in the sink and clogged that and the bathtub and clogged that too. The sad thing is I wasn't always successful about making it to the toilet. I seemed to always get to the bathroom, so I would be puking my hands (even worse) EVERY-TIME... my loving husband would quickly get old towels and clean it up EVERY-TIME. He really does love me cause I hate puke more than anything. The smells and all. Jon would do this for me AND HAS NEVER COMPLAINED ONCE.

How am I doing TODAY!  Great I am no longer sick and I have my energy back. I started feeling this way 6 weeks ago. Again this is the long time I got sick too. I always knew my body didn't like the extra estrogen, but had no idea how much it hates testosterone.  And quickly I don't know if this had something to do with my pregnancy but I take the pregnancy card for it. I was very emotional and mood swingy.  Just ask my husband. Jon however was really patient with my moods and I feel like my emotions are getting better cause BOY . . . : ) . . . did I cry over EVERYTHING. I'm sure the stress of moving to a new place  and that new place so happen to be NY near the city (like that wouldn't stress one over anyway) But hey we are blaming the pregnancy and pretending I'm a COOL NORMAL HUMAN BEING OUTSIDE OF PREGNANCY!

Now Where to Begin with all the Shopping?
because my BOY will not be caught dead in the color PINK!
(well let's hope not!)

{How Can You Get Upset With This?}

{MB} keeps me on my toes that's for sure.

I walked in the kitchen and saw her on the drying rack. I guess it looked like a bench for rump. I didn't even know she knew how to get up there. But here's how, she pulls out all the drawers and makes perfect stairs to climb up.

P.S. If you want to feel sorry for me you can. I have no dishwasher so this little drying rack never leaves this spot that's why I found this cool one at Ikea that saves some space on your counter since I don't have any counter space either.

{Early Christmas Decorations}

This year we decorated the Christmas tree a week before Thanksgiving. Pretty Crazy you'd think but it was great for us cause Jon was home for 2 weeks and we decided to start our holiday early with him being home.

After we decorate the Christmas tree that night I put early presents under the tree that they get to open. These presents are specifically to enjoy for the coming Winter Holidays and I usually buy these gifts on Clearance after the last Christmas.

Here are the girls excited to open the presents.

And here are the girls after putting on their NEW WINTER PAJAMAS and unwrapping their NEW HOLIDAY BOOKS.

{All "TANGLED" Up in NYC on Addi's 4th Birthday}

 Well first of all I have to say . . .

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL LOVING
ADDISON!

Can you believe I WON TICKETS TO THE 3D TANGLED PREVIEW IN NYC AND THEY SO HAPPEN TO BE ON ADDISON'S BIRTHDAY?

We all loved the movie if you haven't seen go see it cause it's darling. When we got there they gave everyone FREE PANTENE Pro-V SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER because the movie is all about hair!

After the movie in Lincoln Square we walked through Central Park to head to the other side to FAO SCHWARTS and take a peak there.
But here are some pictures in Central Park. It was so beautiful.

Here is Addison showing off her NEW TANGLED BARBIE. She got to carry it to the movies and after the movie she got to open it. Her dress she has on was her Birthday Dress she opened up earlier that day. She was loving this day.

This picture is a bit hard to see but it is a scene from Home Alone 2 where the boy runs to the Bird Lady to give her one of his two turtle doves. Alix thought it was so cool. Behind us is the Plaza Hotel.

THEN ON TO LUNCH
We headed to the World's Famous Carnegie Deli. When we arrived I panicked cause we were all so hungry and there was a line that seemed like at least an hour wait. After standing around trying to figure out where else to go we noticed the line moving quick so we decided to jump right in which ended up being maybe a 20 minute wait and once when we were seated we didn't feel at all rushed. It was wonderful.

This is one place I definitely recommend ALL VISITORS OR LOCALS TO VISIT AT LEAST ONCE. Can I say DELICIOUS.

SERIOUSLY YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I do recommend ordering one of their Pastrami or Corn Brisket Sandwiches. They make their own meat and they serious MELT, MELT . . . MELT IN YOUR MOUTH

Don't ask me why I didn't take a picture of the Sandwich. The sandwiches are HUGE AND NO LIE STAND 10 INCHES OFF YOUR PLATE.
WE WERE ALL IN HEAVEN!

They also make their own pickles they give for free while you wait! I loved the bright green ones the best!!! YUM!

After our UNFORGETTABLE LUNCH we treated Addison so one of their FAMOUS CHEESECAKES (we NEVER get desserts). This Cheesecake I think was seriously yummy way better the Cheesecake factory. So yummy and creamy as you can see on Addi's face.

After lunch it was time to head home to open some presents eat some Yummy Joey's $7.00 Pizza and eat her Birthday Cake.

Tangled Wig
(or I should say tangled mess. I think it stay nice for one day after we all tried to keep it untangled now it looks like a rats nest)

Addison still enjoys it very much though. I guess that's all that counts.

Tangled Bike
She was so excited she finally got one. She asks to ride it all the time even in the snow.

Thinking about her Wish,
however I think they all came TRUE!

HAPPY BIRTHDA
MY PRINCESS!

{On our way to Pre-School}

Addi just looking cute!
Love the Fall weather and clothes!

and of course MB is darling too!

SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE A LITTLE GIRL CAUSE . . .
I LOVE DRESSING UP MY GIRLS!!!!

{Coney Island's Aquarium}

Another round with my neighbor Liz's pass before it expired we headed to Coney Islands Aquarium in Brooklyn. The kids of course again had a blast.

My batteries in my camera were dead on the first picture and then Liz pulled out hers and hers were dead too. {Way to Be!} Anyway here's the photos off my iphone too bad I didn't have Jon's iphone cause he's takes much better pictures then mine.

These was the biggest sea turtle I have ever seen. They were beautiful.

These Sting Rays were huge too and seriously they were the biggest ones I had ever seen too. I wish I had a picture that showed them how big they really were.

I always love watching the jelly fish. They are so pretty when they glow up.

I'm sure you have no idea what this is, but I can't find my other shots that I took of this. This is a WALRUS and holy cow was my favorite mammal there. There were two in the tank and boy they new how to entertain us. I think we said there for at least and hour. While it would swim right up the glass in front of us and press its body on the glass where we then we would watch his whole body swim right in front of our eyes. They didn't stop either.

The first time Emberlynn fell off the edge cause she wasn't expecting it, but she was okay. I did however had to march straight to the gift shop and buy a Walrus for the kids to share so that way we always remember such a wonderful experience. Seriously it was my favorite. The kids would put there hands out and to think they were only inches away from the walrus. It was so much fun.

And I always love these little guys. They are so tiny and cute!
