{Something NEW}

The other day I was reading my friends blog about RSV and how her kiddos had it well I should of knocked on wood cause the next day I took Emberlynn & Addison in and guess what? They have it too!

My doctor says it's really bad right now and they are getting so many cases. So after spending 3 hours at the doctors office because each kid needed back to back treatments we finally got home. Addison was so nervous about going to the doctors. She thought she was going to get a shot she kept informing me that she wasn't and then when we got back in a room she keep telling me, mom it's time to go, we need to go." She was so nervous, but she did really really good with everything. When she held up her mask to get her treatment she said, "Mom this isn't so bad." Sure enough Addison has been doing wonderful with her treatments. Easy Peasy with her. Emberlynn was FANTASTIC AT THE DOCTORS AND YESTERDAY today she doesn't want anything to do with it. Poor Girl and she is the one who has it the worst. Addison also had an ear infection too which gave her high fevers too. Not fun over here. Yesterday i felt like that's all I did was give breathing treatments, getting medications (took 1 hour at Target) and giving medication. Which Addison has to take a steroid that taste terrible and she literally vomits up EVERY-TIME! Anyway I love my baby girls and I love my husband for cleaning up all the puke. I was so happy he got off at noon yesterday cause I'm not sure I could of down it all by myself.

Anyway I bought this at Target it had wonderful reviews and so I decided to toss my old one and so glad I did. This one really works! Highly Recommend it to Anyone!

Anyway I will probably post later and add more pictures of the girls masks. Addison is a Purple Dinosaur and Emberlynn is a Blue Puppy!

Here is Emberlynn with her cool blue dog mask. She is very independent and occasionally she sat there with her mask on all by herself.

Addison did not mind her breathing treatments one bit. In fact she thought she was cool staying up a little later to get them. She was bummed the first three nights when I told her she didn't need them anymore. Me too! Even though she could do them by herself many times I still held her and would sing to her or read a book. Moments like these I love being a mother.

{Christmas in Vancouver}

After our fun day in Salt Lake we headed out early the next morning to Vancouver, Canada. The weather was off and on good or miserable. Two parts of the drive we were defiantly thanking the Lord in helping us through it. Jon did all the driving and I am so glad he did. Besides the frightful moments we had there were some really beautiful parts of the drive too. Overall I would never do it again in the Winter unless I absolutely had to. The kids did really good with the drive. It's help having a DVD system in the car (which I don't think I will ever buy another car without one). but I will say at times Alix was tired of watching movies, but if she was home she wouldn't be complaining. Something about being forced to watch movie after movie doesn't apeal to her. But we did read fun Christmas books, Car Bingo, got some small presents during the drive, sang, played car games and ate many snacks.

When we finally arrive to Vancouver the kids were so excited to see everyone. This was the first time we got to see Grandma & Oupa's new place. They still have their other house for a rental investment, but this one is completely wheelchair accessible which was very much needed for Grandmas M.S. (multiple scleroses). It's not too far from the old one which means they are still in the same ward & a bit closer to everyones work. This trip I can't believe how generous everyone was. Everyone spoiled us and treated us like a Royalty. I guess that's what happens when you live so far away and have family that love you so much. Sometimes I wish I could put all the people I love in one town, so I would never have to say goodbye for too long.

{Grandma's WAter Bottle}

Emberlynn found Grandmas water bottle the first day and she was convinced it was hers. Grandma thought it was so cute and kept telling me that she could have some. Emberlynn loved Grandma for that cause she loved her water bottle. Grandma would do anything for these little girls even give them her only water bottle when Grandma can't even get water herself. That's love : )

I love looking at Grandma's face in this shot. This is how she looked the whole time we were there. This was the first time she saw Emberlynn. She couldn't fly when everyone else came down to visit so you can only imagine that she was in her own little heaven with these little ones.

One Happy Little Granddaughter!

It's getting harder for Grandma to move around one of the many reason why they bought this lovely apartment (I picked out the colors by the way). Grandma can not be easily transferred from wheelchair to wheelchair making it very difficult to go anywhere with out the Handy-dart or Taxi that she can just wheel right into. The Handy dart was on strike so unfortunately if she wanted to go anywhere, church, places or anywhere she had to get a Taxi and they are not cheap. I think it cost her $50.00 to go to church on Sunday. That's dedication I say. Grandma has a very strong testimony of the power of prayer that we all love and admire. Grandmas has been very positive and happy. She gives really good advise and is always thinking of others needs.

While we were there Grandma & Oupa got a new washer and dryer. Emberlynn loved it and would climb right into the washer. What a hoot. I'll tell yah!

Princess & the Frog

Amy took me and the girls out to see "Princess and the Frog" The girls absolutely loved it. Addison is obsessed with having me and Jon pretend we are frogs and she is the princess who has to kiss the frog and she laugh like crazy and has yet been able to kiss us. I guess she would fail if she was in the movie.

{VAN DUSEN GARDENS}

One night the Soll Family (Jon's Aunt & Uncle) Treated us to the Van Dusen Gardens. We have been to these Gardens before but never saw it during their Festival of Lights. It was beautiful. It rained the whole time, but it didn't bother anyone because we were having so much fun!

{Christmas in Vancouver Part 2}

I have no problem with my girls being boy crazy when it comes to these two!

I had to add this picture cause Jon's cousins Nathan & Jared were so cute with the girls. They played and took care of them constantly just because they loved them. The Soll Family are such wonderful people. Bennie is the Stake President up there and their children all turned out so wonderful. I kept asking Jacqui the secret to raising such wonderful righteous kids and she would just laugh modestly (of course).

Right outside the apartments there is beautiful wooden walk way. I have to say one of my favorite things about Vancouver is everywhere you go it's beautiful. It really is one of the most beautiful places.

"The Station"

"Steam Clock"

Underneath Vancouver, Canada there runs a series of Steam tunnels with some of the

tunnels apparently large enough to walk in. Running under major streets you can look down onto these tunnels through long grates in the sidewalk.

It is these steam tunnels, which heat much of downtown Vancouver, which power the steam clock. It is one of the world's few functioning steam clocks.

Each quarter hour, the two ton Steam Clock shows off a bit by whistling and shooting steam from the top. We were walking right by it when it started shooting steam and whistling. It was pretty cool I have to say.

There are only six working Steam Clock in the whole World.

{12th ANNUAL BRIGHT NIGHTS IN STANLEY PARK}

The Soll's couldn't spoil us more. They also treated us to a Greek Dinner and The Bright Nights at Stanley Park. They are so wonderful to us. We hope one day we can share the same generosity that they have shown us. It just may be a while is all. It is amazing the whole park is decked out with lights then they have a petting zoo and then the best thing of all is you get on a train and ride around looking at more lights and it's not just a 5 minute ride it's long and very enjoyable. You can only imagine how many lights there were. It was so beautiful and we had great weather that night. It's a must do during the Holidays in Vancouver.

{GINGERBREAD CONTEST}

Every year I tell myself that I want to attempt an amazing Gingerbread house and enter it into a contest. Haven't done that but I will. My favorite thing to do in Vancouver is to see the Gingerbread Contest. It's amazing. The details are crazy good. Just check it out for yourself.

Christmas we met at the church and had dinner there. It was really fun and Jacqui did a great job decorating the gym. It's tradition in their family to buy cracker set and where your hats throughout the party. My girls absolutely loved it.

The biggest reason why we bought a season pass to the Lied's Discovery Museum was so we can get into this Science Museum for FREE! Admission for our family here is worth more then our season pass. Let's say we had fun like always here!

On the way to the Museum This resturant caught my eye. Anyone who knows me well knows that FRENCH FRIES ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! So after the Museum we were all hungry and Jon suggest with my request that we should stop and try it out.

{My Beautiful Pregnant Sisters}

I am so excited that my 3 sisters are pregnant. I wish I was along for the ride too, but I'm not this time. I need to wait a bit longer, but yes there will be more! Anyway I saw this on my sisters blog and had to post it on mine too because it was so cute and I am so excited for them. The best thing is they are all having precious little girls!

{Christmas-Part 2 UTAH}

We decided to drive to Canada this year for Christmas. We have never done this even when we lived in Salt Lake City. I bet you are thinking it we did it to save money. NOPE! We just wanted to see new sceneries. WHAT WERE WE THINKING! : ) Anyway you will here more about that in that next post. The BIGGEST REASON why I wanted to drive was to see TEMPLE SQUARE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS. I haven't seen it since we moved 3.5 years ago and I really wanted to show my children. This is also the Temple where Jon and I got married. I really wanted to show the kids the Conference Center as well. So that way next General Conference we can say, "We have been were the prophets have been." I miss Salt Lake City on so many levels, but I have enjoyed adventuring out even when I go from "Zion" to "Sin City." ha ha I do love Vegas and it will always have a wonderful spot in my heart.

{SALT LAKE CITY LDS TEMPLE}

These next pictures just show the many reasons why I wanted to go to the SL Temple. The spirit of Christmas was strong and beautiful there.

Before it got dark we first tour The Beehive House, where Jon and I had our Wedding Luncheon. Which I totally recommend it to anyone. It was fun cause one of the Sister Missionaries who gave our tour was in our Stake back home. Her dad is the wonderful doctor who did all of Emberlynn's Ultrasounds. It's a small world. Isn't it.

{CONFERENCE CENTER}

Here is the Conference Center that is amazing. I love to hear all the fun facts about it too. Like the pulpit was carved out the Walnut Tree in Pres. Hinckleys yard and so forth. I have been able to see 2 General Conferences in this Conference Center. It was pretty cool and something that everyone needs to experience.

Afterwards we met up with my sisters and their families at the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg. which is so beautiful. We at dinner at the new cafe in there that was pretty fun too.

{TABERNACLE}

While walking inside around Temple Square we went inside the Tabernacle. I will always remember the last Saturday Conference that was held in the Tabernacle I sang here with the UVSC which is now UVU Institute Choir. It wasn't hard to get a spot even though it's the largest Instutitute in the world. All they did was walk around and listened to everyone sing and made sure you weren't too horrible. There was a list on the board who made it but I don't think they made much cuts. I made it so it wasn't that hard : )

The cool thing was when we sang at Conference (and I will always remember this) was all the Apostels turned around and watched us. We were so close to them and the whole time I was thinking "don't cry." I almost lost it when Pres. Faust gave us a thumbs up during one of the songs. HOW CUTE IS THAT! Don't you just love the brethren?

Oh one more thing. I think I got on T.V. two times, but my dad knowing I was singing never saw me and he was looking for me, so obviously it wasn't one that they really focussed in on me. Which was really good cause I was really nervous about looking at the camera, because they told us not to look at it, so of course that's the only thing I was thinking about. : )

This next picture is for fun. I took a picture of the outlet because my brother-in -law put it in. He worked on the Tabernacle for a long time. I guess one time he was walking with everyone and he said" see that outlet "I put that in there" : ) I love that story so I had to take a picture

Alix's rock star pose may not be the more appropriate for this shot but oh well. The kids were having fun. I remember going up in this room when I was really little and it was this room that my testimony grew stronger for our Savior. I wanted my girls to experience a moment that's if they could with all the people, but still with all the noise and the busy-ness, it seems so quiet and still. I love this room in the Visitors Center.
