Emberlynn's Blessing

The Sunday after Christmas while we were up in Salt Lake we decided to bless Emberlynn and give her a name while we were all together as a family. I really enjoy doing this a home verses the church. I have nothing wrong with the church, in fact we blessed Alix in Jon's family ward in Canada, but Addison we decided to do it at home and I really enjoyed the experience that we had; that is, making it really personal.

We blessed her in Casandra's house because that is where we were staying that night. We had a short program where Jon explained that we named Emberlynn after his late sister who died three days after birth and of course knowing me I had to share my thoughts on how lucky I am to have Emberlynn in our family and how very blessed I am having my mother's example and all of my sisters examples to really teach me what a true mother is. I am one lucky mother.

Here is Emberlynn after the blessing. I love her smile here.

This is my oldest sister Kristie who made Emberlynn's Blessing blanket. She has done this for each one of my kids and it's a priceless keepsake I hope each of my children keep and bless their babies in when they have them. Thank you again Kristie for her blanket. It's beautiful and means so much to me.

I still want to kick Tanya in the rear end because I kept telling her to get in front but she thought it was so funny to pop her head behind mine. That is so Tanya for you. I love you Tanya! Everyone in my family was able to attend but Danell and her family (we know you wanted to be there). My brother Wayne also tried but there were not flights that allowed him to make it on time, but thank you for trying. Also Thank you so much Casandra for hosting the blessing at your house. You are wonderful :)

WE LOVE YOU EMBERLYNN

THANK YOU FOR COMING TO OUR HOME!

I'M BACK and boy do I have a lot of Catching up to do!

Where to start?????
Christmas we headed to Salt Lake City. I have three sisters who live in that area so the whole family decided to meet up there this year. We were so lucky that JOn was able to have 2 1/2 weeks off cause his doctor he was rotating with had it off. Sadly to say it was a fun rotation that got cut short, Pediatrics. But we were very excited to have a nice Holiday and spend it with family and friends. Salt Lake had a big storm in it was fun, but I have to say I was a wimp. I didn't even want to got outside. I really love the vegas weather and I never thought I would say that:)

Christmas Eve was wonderful everyone went to my sister Kristie's House and had a wonderful Christmas Eve where santa came to visit and gave everyone a present.

Addison was scared but was trying to be so brave. She was darling to watch and by the time Santa got through everyone she couldn't stop hugging him. She really was a fan at the end of the night and couldn't get over that SANTA gave her minnie mouse night gown.

My favorite thing about Christmas is sitting around the table and playing games with my family- even though I will admit I got beaten a few dozen times.

Christmas morning I was at my sister Tanya's house. That is where we had lots of snow. These are presents that the girls got from Aunty Amy from Canada. Thank you! We love you and the presents!

This is a picture I just had to through in. WE LOVE UNCLE JARED!
