{A Trip to Palmyra}

We headed to Palmyra to go see the Hill Cumorah Pageant. We brought one of Jon's YM with us this time. We also went up with the Anderson Family. After the Pageant they brought Josh back with them while we went camping. Josh slept over the night before so we could head out early to get up to Palmyra. Here's Josh sleeping in the car. I threatened to post it on Facebook having him cuddling with my kids PillowPet, but I didn't.

I love driving upstate. I love how amazing NY in a whole really is. It has everything you can imagine. I love the scenic and quaint towns upstate. here's one.

We all headed straight to the Whitmer Home sense that is where we were staying to drop off all our stuff before we headed to Palmyra. I didn't go to this place last time. I don't know why cause it was a really neat place and to learn more about the history of the church. 

Next we went to the Printing Press where they printed the first copies of the Book of Mormon.

They had a lot of nice tours there. My girls loved and listened to everything they had to say.

Here is how they would bring the supplies up and down the floors sense the stairs were super narrow and tight.

I have a new calling and that is...I'm the new Online Seminary Teacher for my District. I'm really excited about it and while I was upstate I met up my trainer and she told me that this painting that she calls this her family portrait. Because the author had her family and others stage for this shot. She was the baby. Pretty cool ehh?

Here is the where we ate twice, well ice-cream and later went back or dinner. The ice-cream scoops are seriously no lie the biggest scoops Ive ever seen we got kiddie  cups and shared and it was plenty for my family.

Such a popular joint! I think every mormon knows about it cause they were all mormons.

Elder Campbell served in our Branch for 9 months. We became so close to him. He lives in Provo but grew up in upstate NY. So he would normally get a part in the pageant so when they moved to Provo they decided to particapate again. He left our Branch and a month later we saw him perform. He was one of Ishmael's sons.

We found some more people from our Branch.

Saying goodbye to Elder Campbell again, aka Monty.

We shared a cabin with the Anderson's that night that was so fun. It sleeps 16 people. It was Camp Seneca a YW campsite that was church owned. We paid 70.00 and split it in half. Not bad sense the cheapest run down motel was 169.00. Here we are eating breakfast Sunday morning. We are heading out soon for church

 AFter we went to church near the Whitmer home we headed to the Sacred Grove. Josh was a big help taming the kids through the grove.

Spencer took the liberty to tame Mason through the Sacred Grove.

My kids kept asking me where the actual spot was. I told them to be really quiet and maybe they would find out. Here's one of the spot Alix thought it was. Maybe she's right. It's not a bad spot.

 

Here's are NY Family. Meet the Anderson Family minus 2 on missions and one kid and dad back at home. We love them and my kids can't get enough of them.

AFter the sacred grove we said goodbye to JOsh and the Andersons and headed back to the Cabin to finish packing and wrapping up our visit at Seneca Camp grounds.

What a fun few days with good company. Most likely will do it again.

{Summer Time in Long Beach}

I love this shot of Addison. She just fell face first in the sand and I will always remember thanks to this photo that she came up laughing rather than crying. I love her and her good attitude. What a lesson to learn from Addison that when in life as we fall down and stumble on things that we can rise from the dust stronger then we once were to face the next fall. Finding Happiness during the times of Trouble is what Addison did and I hope she makes that her motto in her life. Oh What a life that would be?

We meet Cecilia and her two kids down at Long Beach one time. They were having a festival. The boardwalk completely destroyed during Sandy and just a little part reopened only a week ago.

I always love watching Emberlynn play. She's so fun to watch. Her imagination is in another world and she could be lost all day in her world and I didn't interrupt her at times to come back to ours for meals and family discussions. She's happy and so am I.

If only I can be a mom of little ones forever. They bring so much joy to me.

Here is Cecilia and me. I love her so much. She is such a strong little mama. Her husband is a Firefighter.

Joey her boy as the hots for Alix. I guess he likes the older girls. And MB is in love with her little girl Olivia. Seriously she talks about her everyday and asks to go play with her everyday.

The end of the day we relaxed and ate some popcorn and lemonade as we watched the fireworks. So fun and so nice. They do this every year the week after the 4th of July. It's so nice.
