MEETING CLIFFORD

We visited the Lied Discovery Museum again and it was a lot of fun this time. They had a new exhibit there this time. It was Clifford the Big Red Dog. Addison loves Clifford so she was a big fan.

Addison loved playing with this shape game. She must of down a dozen of times! Luckily the exhibit was too crowded so she was able to do it.

Emberlynn having fun in her car seat!
P.S. For all you paranoid parents out there I totally picked up on the car seat belt being low near the belly. I noticed cause it's a big pet peeve of mine to keep it up on the babies chest. I could only figure that I was about to take her out and I pushed it down cause I never forget. (As my brother would say I am totally paranoid) I agree when it comes to safety and a maybe a few other things too :) OKAY I'M TOTALLY PARANOID!

The girls loved this. It shows how it feels to be in winds up to 78.9  mph. I didn't first and I had a terrible headache for the rest of the time. Jon and the girls must of down it over 4 times and they were feeling great. I guess that means I'm a wimp :)

Aunty Krissy & Amy Visit from Vancouver

I apologize that this post is out of order but to me it needed to be posted. My wonderful sister-in-laws came down and visited us mainly to see Emberlynn and the girls. We had so much fun with them. Sadly to say I didn't think of my camera the majority of times so I really didn't get any pictures.

A fun and excited thing we did with Aunty Amy was go see KA at the MGM Grand. It's reg. a 200.00 show but there was a sale going for locals to see it for ONLY $49.00. WHAT A STEAL. It was so awesome and I now can see how they can charge so much for those tickets. Jon and I have seen a few shows on the strip but they have been for free because Jon donates blood and in return they give him show tickets, but obviously not for the high prices tickets but we have gotten tickets worth 89.00 a piece. So when ever you are in Vegas go donate blood for a free show. Totally worth it.

AS FOR "KA" I give it a 5 Star Rating and a MUST SEE!

Aunty Krissy with the girls at In-N-Out

Another thing we did was go to Silverton Casino and see all the fish in the aquarium. There is a mermaid that comes out and swim next to the kids and play with them. Addison thought is was so wonderful it's a good think Krissy took her camera cause I left it at home.

Thanks Amy & Kristen for coming down and visiting us we love you and miss you.

REASONS WHY I CAN'T SAY GOODBYE TO THE LAST 10LBS

Ok it's really 15lbs, but who's really counting? Oh yah me :0

This is the yummy famous cheesecake that my mother would make us all the time. She would make it with blueberries and cherries as well.  It's so yummy. My mother passed away on Valentines Day 11 years ago and this year I wanted to remember her by making her Cheesecake in these oh so cute dishes I found at Target 3 years ago after Valentines day for only 50 cents a piece.

Alix helping me putting the topping on the cheesecake

This was for my lovely sisters who I visit teach and a few friends. I wont lie I totally ate more then my share.

Valentines was not good for me with all the yummies that came my way plus all the yummies I made I think I probably gained 20lbs. It's funny because in years past sugar has never tempted me, but this year has been such a different story. It's probably because I developed such a bad eating habit the last six months of my pregnancy, because I wasn't allowed to exercise this time.

The other day Jon came home from the doctors office and found out the reason why doctors are so concerned about babies weighing over 8 lbs is they are more prone in having diabetes when they are older. My father has Type II Diabetes and oh my gosh HE IS SO AWESOME on eating what he is supposed to eat and exercise. His doctors and our family are way impressed. Any way I was going to say I born at 9lbs 12oz. HOLY SMOKES - what a lard I was. I will say my mother didn't not deliver me vaginally- THANK GOODNESS. So with my dad's history and my birth weight I cannot help but think I will have type II diabetes in the future. The secret so I say is PREVENTION and this Valentines Day was not the definition of that :)

This is what I made for dinner for my girls on Valentines Day. I then left and had a fun evening with my husband at the Stake Center. They put on a beautiful dinner and dance. I wish I brought my camera cause as a designer myself I really appreciated all the hard work and effort this designer lady put into this event. She thought of everything and for a church gym is was beautiful. The food was fantastic and what a feast and for the dancing I totally danced up a storm to find out the group who I was dancing with was from the Singles Ward and how I found out about that was I was asking one of the girls what she is paying her babysitter and she told me she wasn't married. I FELT SO OLD and EMBARRASSED. Oh well I still had a blast and I had to dance with someone besides my husband.

GOODBYE STANLEY

Well a few weeks ago our family got a letter in the mail with a paper cutout and colored picture of a boy named Stanley. Cody my dearest nephew sent it to us because they had read a book about Stanley how he got flattened so his parents decided to put him in an envelope and mail him to see his family all over the world. Cody also sent us a note telling us to take Stanley around and feel out a paper about facts on Las Vegas, NV and to also send a type of snack for 26 students in Codys class.

So this is what we did with Stanley. . .  (we had 5 days to mail back Stanley)

Okay I will admit we didn't take Stanley to the HOOVER DAM, I just photoshopped him in :)

Alix was pretty upset that she couldn't hold Stanley. I'm telling you we all loved Stanley.

Check out who's holding Stanley

I will admit the first treat that popped in my head was chocolate coins for gambling, but I thought I shouldn't promote gambling even though that is one of the biggest things Nevada is known for it's entertainment.

So the treat that I decided to send back to all the kids was the M&M's, so we toured the M&M Factory.

Look at all those M&M's Yummy
My favorite is the M&M mini's
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE?

The movie was fun to watch. Addison kept taking off her 3D glasses, she was pretty blown away with it!

TOURING THE FACTORY
OH NO! Emberlynn is defiantly a "SWEET "girl, but don't make her an M&M!

NASCAR BABY (Uncle Brett would be Jealous)

GREEN is the NEW PINK
This is the only place where you will hear Alix say that "Green" is her favorite color. For those who know Alix really well you you would know that her favorite color is "PINK."

Here is what we mailed back to Cody's Teacher.
-A poster with pictures of what we did with Stanley
-A m&m bag filled with m&m's and coupons and brochures about the state of Nevada
-and Stanley

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Here is my "sweet" Emberlynn. She is now 3 1/2 months old. One of my favorite things about her is her stork bite on the back of her head it is shaped like a HEART!

How adorable is that?
Maybe it's her way of saying

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

A heart means love and Emberlynn is so full of love and I am not just saying that. She is one of the happiest babies I have ever met. She is always so full of smiles and laughter.

I can't believe how big she is getting. She is so strong and she's not by small little newborn anymore which makes me sad, but I am so excited about who she is becoming, her personality and everything:)
Addi is in a Parent and Me dance class at the recreational center. This class is money well spent in my opinion. I am not a fan of a lot of classes probably because I have been a gymnastics coach for eight years for all ages and levels and am a bit critical on teaching techniques, but this class has my approval.

The teacher is Miss Jenny and she is FABULOUS! (I love that word thanks to my H.S. Musical niece Kylee:) )  The only negative is that the only day of the week she teaches is on Saturdays. Alix took a ballet/tap class from here and it was FABULOUS :) as well. This class is wonderful for these little ones it really works for fine motor and cognitive skills. On top of that she has great music and different props for every class and music for example she has the "Just Beat it" song with a whisk and they pretend they are beating eggs in a bowl. SEE DARLING!

A+ CLASS FOR SURE!

Here is a job WELL DONE!

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY Alix

I can't believe I  have a 5 year old. Alix is so precious to us and everyday I am so amazed what she is and becoming. I am so proud of her choices that she makes. She definitely is an individual who has personality and loads of love. She is definitely one of a kind.  One of my favorite things about her is how much she loves and cherishes friendships. I really think this love with carry through her whole life and bless her life; as well as, the people she comes in contact with. She is a joy in my life and what Pres. Uchtdorf talked about in his conference talk, her life gives me glimpsies of eternal happiness in this life. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALIX!

How fun is this?- Kristen Jon's sister was able to come on Alix's Birthday and celebrate with us. Thanks Krissy for coming. We love you!

Alix and her Arial Birthday Cake

Those Crazy kids:)

That night she opened her awesome princess pajamas. Aren't they beautiful.

Discovery Museum

This year our family purchased year passes to the Discovery Museum. It's wonderful because where ever we travel in the U.S. and Canada we can go to the local museum's for free. It's a great price and get this it's cheaper to buy this pass in Vegas then buying a one day pass to Science World in Vancouver, Canada. (which is one of my favorite places we stop when we are there). We are a bit mad that we just found out about this great deal. Well here are just a few pictures. I thought we took more, but I guess we were having so much fun we forgot to snap away our memories:)

I included this picture just because I wanted to talk about this. We made two kinds of bird feeders. This one you see NOT SO POPULAR. The other one we made was a sugar cone smeared with almond butter and we rolled bird seed and Cheerios on it. THE BIRDS LOVED IT. I thought this was a great idea for me to do for my mommy preschool in the spring. The funny thing is when I hung them in our trees. The next day we saw 5 birds eating it and Addi freaked out because it was hers not the birds. So we had to explain it to her she made it for the birds. It still took her a while to adjust. It was funny cause I would catch her screaming the birds away so they wouldn't eat it.  That girl cracks me up so much:)

YOu can't see very well but Alix is inside a bubble
