Camping & Watkins Glen!

So we moved on to more camping this time in our tents. It was fun being with everyone. We had campfire nachos for dinner. In the morning we headed down the mountain and hiked our favorite waterfalls. Watkins Glen.

I have so many pictures of Watkins Glen but it never bores me to have more especially when family is in town and I get to show them one the most beautiful places on earth is.






These next few pictures are all mixed up between three different places. It's so fun to be with cousins and see my sister play with my kids. It's my favorite.

 

We saw some creeping things that wasn't too exciting. Luckily they were far from us that we were safe. The turtle wasn't too scary.When we made it to this river I was so nervous cause the year prior is when Mason slipped and split open his head and Jon stitched him up right in the park. I didn't want a repeat. Luckily again it wasn't as slippery as the year we were there, but everyone was a little over cautious this time just to make sure Jon wasn't going to have to do that again.

So many smiles where ever we went. I love my family so much. What a great relaxing enjoyable day just being with family.

Yesterday when I blogged she asked me if she could watch and she's done that a million times. Maybe I will let her start it and keep it private as a journal for only family. Here it is...}

{4 Kids and Me on a Plane}

So it's back on the plane by myself with the four kids. This seems like it has been happening a lot lately. It was chaos this time. We left so early in morning and with layover in Chicago and then they canceling our flight so we had to stay 3 hours in the airport it was a wreck. My kids were tired, screaming and Mason and MB thought it was great to use the walking escalators as a toy in a playground. I did cry in Chicago not once but twice. They told I would have to run to make my connection so don't take the stroller, then after delaying it I had not stroller to strap my kids in. I couldn't find a kid playground anywhere in the airport. It was a mess. The airport was so busy there was so seats for us. Finally we just sat on the floor and one of the kids ran behind the counter and found that there was a TV playing kid movies. Why in the heck didn't they tell me that 3 hours ago. Finally piece and quiet...Finally two dead weight kids asleep right before we had to board the plane I could only carry them both while the other girls carried my stuff. 

Even though this happend to me back in August I remember it so clear. I don't think I have ever had such a hard time with no control and to have a million people witness it and have not one say, "could I help you." I guess this makes me more compassionate to lend a helping hand to mothers and others. I guess this experience was for my own good.

Many many prayers this day in such a short amount of time. I embarrassed that I cried, I bet my kids were thinking to themselves, "mom get it together!" hahaha

Not one of my proudest moments. I will say at least this was the first plane disaster I had with kids so I guess I should call myself one of the lucky ones. But yes it would of been nice with Jon.

The best thing to see when kids are sleeping in the plane. My stress levels are finally slowly declining!

But with all the complaints this trip was worth this chaotic flight. I do it all over again. So grateful for a father in law in making this trip happen for our family.

{Waffles Anyone?}

So while in Vancouver Kristen's Friend invited us to where she worked for some of the yummiest waffles ever! So yummy and fresh! It was I believe 50 minutes away so it really wasn't close but oh so worth the trip.   Enough to say I would love to go back and wish I had one closer to buy my fruit. They had such great prices too for big flats of strawberries and blueberries.

So Welcome to Krause Berry Farms!

They have a shop inside to go wild in. I had to keep reminding myself that I lived in NY so I couldn't buy all this stuff especially the produce section items.

Mason was in heaven at this spot.

Next we visited the petting Zoo out back. So much fun too see their animals.

So of course so many things to do here and Mason finds the rocks!!! What do I tell you about his obsession over rocks!

AFter visiting the petting zoo we got some cool drinks and sat on the tables for our blueberry and strawberry waffles with a thousand of berries on top. So yummy!

Mason only wanted the blueberries. I think he had hundreds. People would just keep giving him theres cause it was so funny to watch him eat them all!

Next we headed out to their flower garden area. It was so pretty to see so many beautiful flowers.

Addison loved hanging out with cousin Jared.

There were so many darling attractions there. This wagon was here to take you around to pick the blueberries. Wasn't working that day though.

and they even had a nice little restaurant but we didn't need to eat there after eating the waffles! But you could snag some ice-cream.

Here's more of their covered wagon for Berry Picking! So darling. I only wish Jon was here for this. He headed home sooner then us cause he was worried to get back to work to find out they didn't care he took a week off or more without using any vacation time. They were so wonderful to Jon and caring. We traveled home the next day!
