OUPA'S 60TH BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUPA!!!!
This year the girls and Jon flew up to Canada (thank you Wayne & Amy for the Tickets) for Oupa's 60th Birthday Party. The Surprise was us. He had no idea we were coming up. Either did we until three days before the party. It was the best surprise EVER! You can ask Oupa himself. He loved every minute and everyone was touched by the big surprise. Aunt Jacqui put this all together and it was her idea for us come up for a surprise. They wrapped Alix up in a box and before the party started they told Oupa he had to open one present. Then out jumped Alix shouting, "Happy Birthday Oupa" Jon's brothers and sisters didn't' even know about it. Only Jon's Aunt & Uncle. It was wonderful. I wish I could of been there, but being 36 weeks at the time I couldn't. Both the girls had the biggest blast and loved being there. Addison even fell asleep in Oupa's arms. She doesn't even do that for me. Oupa asked me and Jon if we trained our kids to be so perfect for that night and hug them forever and play with him like he was the only one at the party.  We sad, "No" and that's the truth. They both just love their Oupa because he has a "Heart of Gold."

This was one of Oupa's presents we gave him. I think it's very appropriate because he is also an civil engineer. We made it for his office at work.

This is Jon's Family when he was younger. What an attractive bunch they are. Jon's dad looks like he belongs on one of those Polo Commercials. What a babe!

This is another present I made for Oupa. I made it all out of Vinyl and it turned out so cute. In fact everyone thought I had purchased it from the store until they saw the name Oupa on it. Then Oupa asked if I made it and JOn said, "Of Course" I think I got lucky cause it really turned out so darn cute. and YES I know I am totally tooting my own horn. Just laugh at me.

Open House Report

Well I have to say that the Open House was a GREAT SUCCESS. Thank you so much for everyone who came. I really appreciate the support of my business. We had such a great turnout. We sold out on Witches Plate and the Give Thanks Platter. But my number one seller was the Christmas Ornaments. I am now going to put the rest of my stock in my Craft Store that I rent a space from in Downtown Henderson on Water Street. It's called Terry's Timbers Craft. But I do have to mark my stuff up higher so it's just better to buy through me. Well AGAIN thank you for everyone who came. It definitely was a night to remember. I also wanted to thank my awesome sister-in-law Amy who helped me again this year. YOU'RE AWESOME. I really couldn't' have done it without it and I love that she can just jump in there with no training. She is such a pro on everything. Also Thank you Roxanne for teaching and restocking the food. What a crazy and fun night it was:)

P.S. My daughter Alix took all the pictures that night. Love her!

This Ones for Stacia

Okay if any of you read my friend Stacia's blog you would of seen a little boy that she babysits asleep leaned over a chair. It's the cutest picture and this just happened to her this last week, so it's funny that just today after swimming at play-group I feed Addison and was in the other room and came back to see Addison sleeping on the countertop.

Stacia this far worse. If Addi fell off that could of done some damage. Crappy mom I am.

Vote On My Poll

Okay Everyone I have a new poll I want people to vote on. Yesterday I hit my 6 weeks left mark and I can't help but think when this baby really is coming. So tell me what you think if she will come early or late or on time :) surprisingly I am hoping late but I don't want to be in the hospital on Halloween. I want to watch my kids get all dressed up and throw a party for them. Also I don't want her on her due date (Oct. 23) cause I guess I'm selfish and don't want to share Birthdays. The reason why I want her to come late (even though I am having a feeling she is coming at least three days early) is because I am one busy bee right now and I have a million and one things to do before she gets here. and I haven't even begun nesting (organizing and deep cleaning my house) and that is what is causing most of my stress right now. Anyway I do this cause my family is into polls especially when the first snow fall will be in Colorado. I always guess Oct. 11th. So you all heard it from me and believe you me I have been right on, on a few occasions.

1ST Day of Preschool

Well I have to say that today was a very successful 1st day of Preschool for us. We had so much fun. All the kids are so darn cute and was so darn excited about being there today. The secret is that I think I had just as much fun or more then the kids. I love teaching especially little kids. The kids learned so much today. One thing we learned was the letter A. So we made applesauce. that was my favorite part the day. Alix was eating lunch (looks like I don't have to do much to get her excited). Yleana and Presely favorite things was hanging apples on the tree. Where Wills favorite things was reading all the Apple books. I think my favorite part about this Preschool I feel more involved with my child education and I have a blast doing it.

Craft Fair Report

Well my Craft Fair this last weekend was a complete BUST. This booth I paid 275.00 for three day event. I thought I was going to have someone fill my Sunday booth, but never did so I had to eat the cost for Sunday. But let's say I thought it was going to be very well advertised and it wasn't. They offered goodie bags to the first 100 people and lets just say they had 32 left to give away on Saturday. I was completely disappointed and if it wasn't for my Craft Fair in Hurricane for Peach Days I probably would have came home crying. but I didn't I was able to make up for my booth cost and was able to come home with some extra.

The funny part is that I defiantly don't live in Utah anymore cause they have tons of booths for Pleasure Parties, which I never knew about until I went to this fair. My sister Danell walked by one and they asked her if she wanted to sign up for a drawing and she said sure what can I win. They said everything you need for a romantic night. Then they said more but will keep the rest unsaid. Anyway I used to have this saying when I lived in Utah "ONLY IN UTAH" now it's changed to "ONLY IN VEGAS" Talk about extreme opposites.

Anyway I really think the Lord blessed me for not working on Sunday even though it started to be tempting at first knowing that I wasn't making money. But I stuck to my guns and I believe the Lord sent people to me. Thank you to my wonderful friends and wonderful strangers I was able to walk away ahead. I started thinking how grateful that I had another opportunity to prove myself again. I think at times we find ourselves thinking oh I don't work on Sunday and then find out a rare opportunity comes up for any reason, and either stick to our guns or we decide to have it slip just one time cause it doesn't happened all the time. Were as I was in a desperate situation I was proud that I chose the right. The only thing I was disappointed was I thought for minutes about not choosing the right. but happy that in the end I choose the right and I truly believe I blessed not only with customers, but with a stronger testimony importance of keeping the day sabbath.

Best Friends are We, My Sister & Me

Yesterday we decided it was time to move Addison's Crib into Alix's Room. I did it in the morning and the girls helped me. Addison was so excited. She wouldn't even let me change her diaper in her old room it had to be in her NEW ROOM. Addi went down for her nap really easy; however when night-night came we had some problems. Addi who crys rarely when you put her down cried tons and Alix couldn't handle it so when Addi would stop crying Alix would get out of bed and start Addi up again. We finally had to put Alix in our room so she would stop waking Addi up. Last night I was at mutual so JOn put the kids down together and they BOTH WENT TO BED. I told him he will have to put them down every night by himself.

Jon and I actually a really good team when we put the kids to bed. I copied my sister Kristie with a nightly ritual but change it a bit to fit our family. So first we read books then the scriptures, then we say a prayer holding hands in a circle (that's my favorite part) then if the girls are reverent we each get to pick a favorite song to sing (the girls favorite) then we end with singing I am a Child of God. This as worked out really great for our family. I know that Kristie goes around and everyone says something that they are thankful for that day. We do that a lot and it's amazing what these kids think of and say. I think it's moments like those where you realize that being with those you love is enough!

But back to the whole changing rooms thing. Just in the couple of days Jon and I are so impressed and amazed how excited Alix was to have Addi in her room and same with Addi. They have gotten along so much better, and Addi really feels like a bigger girls now. She keeps telling us that she's a big girl in a big room. We love them so much!

I'm Losing My MInd!

This pregnancy is really taking a toll on my mind. I literally have been so forgetful and it's really starting to annoy me. Just like the other day I left the house to go to WalMart and on the way there I realized I forgot all my ads (Walmart here match price all the ads so I like going there for a one-stop deal). Any so I had to all the way back so the house to grab my ads. Later on in the day (and this is even after I took a nap) I headed to KMart to pick up a dresser for the girls room and drove by my doctor's office and realized I had an appointment. I immediately took a U-ee and was only 15 minutes late. I was so lucky they let me in. That's not all after the appointment I headed to Kmart and realized I forgot my $5.00 off coupon.

Sadly to say I am having many of these kinds of days. I think the worst was when I forgot my wallet at Walmart and had over 100.00 of groceries and went to pay and realized my wallet was not in my purse. Talk about a disaster with two kids who were grumpy and let's say I was grumpy too after that cause I had them hold my groceries and I ran home AGAIN and grabbed my wallet to pay for the groceries. It's so difficult getting kids in and out of car seats like that.

CAN ANYONE RELATE OR AM I JUST LOSING MY MIND?
