MB's first day of Preschool. I started her after the break she was so excited. She would go 3 days out of the week for 3 hours. She loved it so much. Her smile will tell you so.
Jon started working at Sloan Kettering in January. He worked with the .....Unit which worked him like crazy. They were a bit grumpy doctors too. There were 10 surgeons all had been married and only a few married today. In February Jon started Head & Neck and fell in love. They were a relaxed Unit. There were 10 Surgeons who are all married and have a great family life. There's hours are wonderful. Jon loved it and decided then that this is what he wanted to do. He always knew it was always going to be in something with cancer, but didn't really know what. The Head and Neck have a lot of complicated cases and he loves the challenge.
Jon met the best surgeon and the man who wrote a great book Dr, Shaw. He had an interview with him and gave Jon so much advice a few months later they had a world conference Head and Neck in NYC that Jon attended and of course it was all about Dr. Shaw. Jon was able to get 2 letters of Recommendation from Sloan Kettering in the Head & Neck Unit. They all loved him. After reading what they wrote. They both were the most amazing letters. One was almost 2 full pages. We had never seen such a long recommendation before. and both were saying Jon was one of the most brilliant residents they have ever met! That he was way above his years in residency. They said he had a brilliant brain too. Anyway we are defiantly scrapbooking those ones maybe frame them. I'm so proud of my husband.
Super Bowl was a flop this year. So disappointing with the Broncos caving but we celebrated a bit. We laugh cause we never watch tv on Sundays and never watched one football game this season, but we had to watch the Super Bowl. :-) Where dorks.
