{Schmidts Family Pumpkin Patch}

One October Saturday our wonderful friends we knew in Vegas who moved to Brooklyn same time we did came over for some soup as we planned which pumpkin patch to attack here on Long Island (since there are so many). We decided to head 20 minutes east of Lynbrook to  The Schmidts Family Pumpkin Patch and we were so excited we did cause it was a lot of fun.

We first decided once we got there to head of the FREE Hay Ride that takes you to the pumpkin patch. What a fun ride. The weather was deceivingly cold.

 MB was so darling to watch, We weren't sure what was going to happen, but she loved it. Horses are now her favorite animal. She walks around with 4 horses all the time and says "neigh"

Okay so if you ever thought for one minute or one second that the Dell Family was perfect, THINK AGAIN. We have just as many problems as the next. This video kills me, seriously I rolled laughing when Jon showed it to me then asked him Why didn't you intervene?. I was too scared to put it on YouTube thinking it just might be one of the most watched videos, but I decided to keep it and share it only to those who know me best!

I love these thick stems and these pumpkins seemed so perfectly round and flawless. You really didn't have to coach your kids about finding a good pumpkin. It makes me think where are all the stores getting their pumpkins?
